Prakash Shikshan Mandal has started the Loknete Rajarambapu Patil Ayurvedic Medical College, Hospital ,P.G. Institute & Research Center at Islampur – Sangli Road, Islampur in 2002. Islampur ,town is mere centre place to neighboring towns i.e. 40 km to Kolhapur,40 km to Sangli and 28 km to Karad which are having domestic Air ports.The Islampur Nagar Parishad is having population about 1,15,000 and the town is growing day by day in all fields like Agriculture ,Industrial and Education etc. and having a good look in the Sangli Distict Picture. It is just 3 km away from National Highway No.4. Loknete Rajarambapu Patil Ayurvedic Medical College, Hospital ,P.G. Institute & Research Center has recognized by the Govt. of Maharashtra, Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi, Dept. of AYUSH, New Delhi and it has affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik (Maharashtra).
The intake capacity of our College is 100 for U.G. Course i.e. B.A.M.S. (Ayurvedacharya) and is comprised for 5&1/2 years of Course including 1 year internship. The intake capacity of our College is 64 for P.G. Course i.e. M.D.&M.S. (Ayurvedvachaspati) & Ph.D in Ayurved is 30. Our College is having 14 full pledged Departments as per the norms of CCIM, New Delhi. Having qualified and experienced teaching faculty, non teaching staff and trained staff of Hospital.College is having hostel facility for boys and girls also play ground facility for Out door and Indoor games. Loknete Rajarambapu Patil Ayurvedic Medical College, Hospital ,P.G. Institute & Research Center is having a teaching Hospital with 244 bed strength. The Hospital is Located in a spacing sight having 9 OPDs with adequate trained staff and it fulfils the norms of CCIM, New Delhi.Hospital provides traditional Ayurvedic treatment facilities like Panchakarma, Kshar Sutra, Yoga etc. along with modern facilities including I.C.U., N.I.C.U., Sonography, Tread mill etc. X-ray, Pathology Lab.Hospital arrange the Medical check up camps in the particular adopted remote villages regularly, That the economical poor patients can take the medical advantage. The National Health Programmes like Pulse Polio Vaccination, AIDS Awareness programmes, Leprosy eradication Programme Diabetic care,Rasayan Vajikaran etc. are carried out by our Hospital in collaboration with N.S.S.of the our College.
